In the present times, the whole universe is evolving into a competitive race where some denizens become part of it on the basis of their talent while others believe in their efficiency of doing hard work.  Hence for this, a few people stand by talent however, others consider hard work as a key factor prominent for leading a successful life. Therefore, in the following essay, I would like to shed light on the way I see both of them.

Tips for the opening paragraph of IELTS opinion essay:

1. Start with a universal truth related to the given topic in the question statement.

2.  Then, rephrase the question stated by writing it in the same way but by using words different from those are already present in the statement of the question.

3. Thirdly, disclose what you are going to present in the whole essay, in the thesis statement.

Body Paragraph-1.

first of all, talent is a god’s grace to humanity as it is an inborn ability gifted by God to individuals. A person with a great talent in his hand can do wonders in his life. To make it clear, he can earn a hefty amount of money along with fame in his whole life if he possesses a natural ability in the form of talent in himself. But, all the natural abilities and talents are futile if are not harvested in a proper manner. It simply means that talent without hard-working is nothing. As hard-work assists personnel to polish their inner talent and to enhance the level of their abilities and capabilities that they have ingrained in them as almighty’s blessings to them. 

Tips for body paragraph one of IELTS opinion essay:

Initiate with a connector or beginner. 

For example- first of all

2. Compare and contrast your opinion and give relevant reasons for the same.

3.  Include at least two points of your viewpoint in body paragraph 1.

4. Add alluring vocab to earn additional bands.

such as- first of all, it simply means that, to make it clear, but etc.

Body Paragraph-2.

The other factor is that no doubt inbuilt creativity gives a head start to a person in a competitive race but he might not be able to finish it without striving for the win. Even, relying merely on internal talent could not yield the desired results as without practicing the skill regularly or by not doing hard work to upgrade the skillfulness,  one can’t even expect of winning professionalism in his field of work. Adjacent to this,  there is a big fat difference between holding knowledge about something and the practical application of the same. To be focused, everyone is not a genius by birth but their efforts can make them genius. This is the power of hard work. 

Tips for body paragraph 2 of IELTS opinion essay:

1. Begin with a suitable sentence that shows its continuity with body paragraph 1 and also shows the next point of the same approach.

Before putting the pen down, it can be concluded that there is no denying fact that inner flair can make a person winner but this win can not be retained forever without hard work.

  1. use a beginner that exactly denotes that this is the beginning of the concluding paragraph.

How do you write both views and give your opinion essay?

Well, the best way of attempting this type of essay is to explain the views of one party in  body paragraph 1. and views of opposite party in body paragraph 2. and at last give your opinion in the final conclusion.

How do you write a balanced opinion essay?

For this, every opinion is followed by an appropriate reason for it and in both body paragraphs, you need to mention at least two to three points to make the whole essay balanced. Moreover, do not lay more emphasis on the thoughts of one party only. Besides, give both party’s thoughts equal importance.

How do you state your opinion in an essay?

In ‘discuss both views and give your opinion’ essay, we must present our opinion in concluding paragraph only.
 In ‘what is your opinion?’ essay, we are required to give opinion in both body paragraphs of opinion essay along with reasons for them.

What is the difference between an opinion essay and a discussion essay?

Discussion essay too comes under the category of opinion essay as in IELTS you are usually asked ‘discuss both views and give your opinion’. Hence, It does not make it a discussion essay. Actually, there are two types of opinion essays the former is mentioned above and the latter includes ‘what is your opinion?’. It means there exists no discussion essay in IELTS writing instead discussion is the part of the question asked in an opinion essay.
