IELTS READING is an individual module included in the IELTS test that counts for 40 marks in total and is divided into three distinct passages based on dissimilar hardness levels. Nowadays, it seems hard for pupils to score more than 7 bands in reading and there is no specific reason for this. Most probably, students lack in following up some key tips and tricks to solve reading efficiently. So, here in this article, you will learn about some useful tips and tricks for garnering more than 7 bands in IELTS READING.

  1. ALWAYS KNOW YOURSELF, WHERE YOU LAG AND WHERE YOU ARE EXCELLENT:

It can be seen many times that students are unable to know the parts of reading they can perform better in and the other parts they get stuck in. The reason behind this is their lack of attentiveness about themselves. if you want accuracy in your answers and 7 plus bands then you must avoid this common mistake that IELTS aspirants usually commit by setting targets to complete their whole reading a single minute before the last minute. Logically, this is a wrong approach.  For avoiding this, there is a worthy tip for them-
1. Divide your total time allotted, among different passages.  

2. Allot more time to hard passage, however less to the one that looks easy to be solved. 

3. About 20 minutes each are being provided to solve every passage. But, you have to manage to solve the easiest passage in 15 minutes and to spend the saved 5 minutes on the hardest one. In this way, you will be left with extra time to read the hardest passage in depth.

5. GET ADDICTED TO READING: (IELTS READING)

 read as many books as you can.

Test takers directly start from IELTS READING tests that is the wrong way to develop reading skills. Besides, they have to begin from reading newspapers and magazines etcetera in order to develop their mental understandability about reading and get familiar with English vocab words. Reading newspaper daily is a golden habit for IELTS  aspirants as reading passages are also taken from newspapers and journals. So, if someone is addicted to read more and more, there are high chances of him to score 7 plus bands in reading. 

Last but not least, it can be stated that the need of the hour is to observe and follow above mentioned tips and tricks in an appropriate manner while practicing for IELTS reading for getting good bands in the final exam. Its time to work smart not hard.
